BIKRAM YOGA: It’s the Original Hot Yoga…Life is hard and our daily struggles can lead to chronic stress and feeling disconnected. This 90-minute program performed in a room heated to 105 degrees with 40% humidity was designed to deliver total health through the balancing and strengthening of every system in the body in order to prevent illness and injury while promoting weight loss, limiting the effects of aging and restoring all systems to a healthy working order. The series of postures combine skills of concentration, patience, determination and self-control which increase mental clarity and reduce stress. The heated room warms your muscles, allows a deeper workout and cleanses the body by flushing toxins.

KNOW THE DIFFERENCE…Bikram Yoga vs Hot Yoga: Bikram Yoga is always Hot Yoga but Hot Yoga is not always Bikram Yoga. The Bikram Class is not just 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, practiced in 90 minutes. Yes, each posture stretches, strengthens and prepares specific muscles, ligaments and joints for the next posture. It does this while simultaneously stimulating organs, glands and nerves, moving fresh oxygenated blood to 100% of the body. But the sequence, room conditions and length of the class are only part of the story that makes an authentic Bikram Yoga Class. This class is not only an exceptional workout, it’s a therapy, which is why the teaching technique is so critical. All True Bikram Yoga teachers are trained in the technique of teaching this original hot yoga class so you are assured of the most authentic experience of this incredible practice no matter what brought you to it.

HOT HIIT: Would you like to get toned without having to put in hours every day at the gym? Life is busy so getting maximum results with the shortest investment of time is what we’re all looking for. Hot HIIT at True is a 60 minute class performed at about 95 degrees F with great music to carry you through. True Hot HIIT is a low or no impact intense full body workout strengthening muscles and improving your overall health. Safe for your joints, the heat gets your heart rate up and the music gets your blood pumping. This class builds a strong core, long lean muscles, improves circulation, boosts metabolism and burns fat even after your workout.


The training method of this class uses “Tabata” which calls for high intensity intervals followed by low intensity periods of active recovery. Hot HIIT combines cardio and muscle toning, keeping your heart rate up because you are always moving. Just like the Bikram Class you can easily moderate the intensity level to suit your needs. You know how sore you get from workouts, especially new ones? The heat not only increases your heart rate, it loosens up the muscles and softens the soreness so you feel empowered, not destroyed.

WHAT YOU NEED: Everyone must practice on their own standard yoga mat with a large towel over it. You are welcome to bring water into class. Currently we are not renting equipment but have yoga mats available for sale at both locations. For the easiest experience wear your yoga gear under your clothes. Be prepared to throw on some clothes over your practice clothes as showers are not yet available in the studios.
